History

Bay Horse Marketing Services Ltd was established in 1989 in order to provide consultancy services in the fields of economic development, urban regeneration, market awareness and corporate communications.   These activities continue to be its main purpose.

In the 36 years since its incorporation it has achieved retained profits of £408,000 (as indicated in its Report and Accounts for the year to 31^st March 2025).   These assets, resulting partly from a successful investment strategy and partly from consultancy work, are now generally invested in two York properties and in one remaining “business angel” activity.

Current

The company remains substantially owned personally by John Watson.   Most consultancy work and market development generally is carried out by John Watson and his immediate family.   Development work is continuing upon the http://www.theswitzerlandalternative.com website which has rapidly become the world leader in its field.

Based near Wetherby in North Yorkshire, the company is registered for VAT.   Its Accountants are Beaumonts of Wakefield.
